The Suzuki Samuari hasn’t been sold in the states since 1995. I was curious to see how many I’d find on Facebook Marketplace and actually found quite a few. Of all of them, this 1980 Suzuki Samurai jumped out at me.
This Samurai features a 4.3L Chevy V6 with a new Edelbrock carburetor and a new distributor. It has a 4-link suspension with coilovers, Chevy 6-lug axles front and rear with 4.88 gears, a NP205 transfer case, 36-inch Super Swampers, and a full exterior roll cage just in case you roll it over.
It also has a 12K winch which is overkill for a Samurai and LED lights to light up the trail at night.
So, would you pay $4,500 for this Samurai?
It’s not pretty, but it’s solid and looks like a well-built trail rig.
